Parents, — ‘night.
July 17, 2010
After a year of teaching, you learn some things. You learn how to tell when students have a question on their minds but are too afraid to ask. You learn how to “sense” the energy in the room and when to whip out a video in order to break the monotony of the teacher-talk. You learn that it always, always pays off to be stern and strict first, before you are friendly and funny.
And you learn that sometimes, people are just not meant to study, and they are miserable. And you learn that sometimes, parents just don’t care about that.
